Welcome to LIFE Advanced Integrated Dentistry, led by Alexandria dentist Dr. Charissa Chin. LIFE Advanced Integrated Dentistry exists to improve the patient’s quality of life by providing prevention-focused, precision-driven and personalized dentistry. We are dedicated to a unique, integrated approach to dentistry that focuses on the relationship between a healthy mouth and a healthy body, prioritizes patient education and engagement, and uses modern dental technology to improve treatment outcomes.

I had significant issues with dental work done at other Practices in the past that required extensive corrections. I came to Life Advanced for an examination and evaluation of my problems and recommendations for correction of my dental problems. From first exam and proposed treatment plan through almost a year of treatments to repair and replace failing fillings, improperly fitted Dentures and Crowns, the entire staff at Life Advanced have provided top notch treatment and have been very accommodating to my needs for timely breaks during treatment. I am very happy with the results of my treatment plan and will continue regular exams and get adjustments as necessary. I appreciate the professionalism and caring of the entire staff. I highly recommend Life Advanced Integrated Dentistry!!

Dr. Charissa Chin is a dedicated and passionate dentist based in Alexandria, VA, known for her comprehensive approach to oral health and her commitment to lifelong learning. She holds an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, and a General Practice Residency certificate from Berkshire Medical Center, a major affiliate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. The scope of her advanced training have equipped her with increased knowledge and expanded skills to provide excellent care to patients who have multiple medical conditions and extensive dental disease.

She was recruited and appointed to the Assistant Professor position at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. She served as a faculty member at VCU for approximately four years before entering full-time private practice. Dr. Chin is passionate about helping you achieve your optimum level of oral health.

Dr. Chin is committed to continuing education and keeping up-to-date with the latest advances in dentistry. She is a Fellow of both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). These achievements attest to Chin’s extensive training, with the FICOI requiring 20 completed and documented implant cases and at least 100 hours of continuing education, while the FAGD demands an extensive exam and 500 hours of continuing education as well as passing the fellowship exam. Additionally, she is an alumnus of the Dawson Academy, a postgraduate educational and clinical research facility, dedicated to the advancement of dentistry and supports dentists striving to be physicians of the masticatory system.

Insurance

While we are out-of-network for all insurances, patients are able to utilize their dental benefits at our practice if they subscribe to a PPO dental plan (PPO plans allow the patient to select their provider of choice). Our Health Relationship Coordinator is experienced with submitting claims to various insurance companies for reimbursement. We are very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of dental insurance and will be happy to review your policy to ensure you get the most out of your coverage.
